The Hon. Deputy Chief Justice of the Republic of Zambia Hon. Mr. Justice Marvin Mwanamwambwa was on a 6-day tour of the Western Province from Monday 23rd October 2017- Saturday 28th October 2017.

The countrywide tours that have been led by her Ladyship the Hon Chief Justice, and His Lordship the Hon. Deputy Chief Justice are aimed at the inspection of Judiciary infrastructure countrywide, as well as providing an interactive platform with members of staff.

The Judiciary continues to promote capacity building for members of staff at all levels, spearheaded by the Advisory Committee on Continuing Education and Training. In line with the foregoing, the tour of Western Province began with the launch of Financial Management Training of Local Court Clerks which was launched by the Hon. Deputy Chief Justice.

His Lordship was accompanied by Hon. Mr. Justice Dr. Mumba Malila SC, Supreme Court Judge, and Chairperson of the Advisory Committee on Court Operations, and Mr. Charles Kafunda, Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, and 15 other members of support staff.

So far, the provinces toured are Lusaka, Central, Copperbelt, Southern, and western province respectively. Among the common concerns raised by members of staff in remote areas are issues such as inadequate housing facilities, and the need for the rehabilitation of existing Judiciary infrastructure.

The Hon. Deputy Chief Justice commended hard working members of staff for their patriotism and commitment to the delivery of justice for all, as well as advised members of staff to desist from unprofessional practices and conduct.
